Trump Could Be 'Reinstated' as President, Says Sidney Powell
For those who continue to support Donald Trump’s quest to invalidate the results of the 2020 election, there are fewer and fewer stones to overturn these days.
Trump’s legal surrogates attempted to get the attention of judges from coast to coast in the immediate aftermath of that contest, with evidence of what they considered to be voter fraud. Some of it had to do with the software used by Dominion Voting Systems, while other claims related to the illegal shifting of physical ballots.
Then, when those legal challenges failed, the focus was turned to Maricopa County, Arizona, where a private company was hired to conduct a recount of the entire election. This probe has been mired in controversy from the start, and the mainstream media has all but discredited its results outright…before the investigation has even concluded.
Now, in yet another avenue to explore for the MAGA Movement, attorney Sidney Powell has stated that there is an even easier way to get Trump back in the White House.
Powell’s remarks were made at a right-wing conference in Dallas on Saturday called the “For God & Country Patriot Roundup,” which also featured retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser who has echoed the former president’s claims of widespread voter fraud in the November election, as a guest speaker.
“There are cases where elections have been overturned, but there’s never been one at the presidential level, which everybody will jump to point out, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be done,” Powell said, earning loud applause from an audience. “It should be that he can simply be reinstated, that a new inauguration date is set.”
Powell is currently being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for defamation, in a suit seeking over $1 billion in damages.
