Trump Drops Huge 'Q' Clue with Latest 'Storm' Comment
For as long as Donald Trump has been a part of the American political scene, there has been a strange, prescient undercurrent flowing alongside him, steeped in controversy and conspiracy, and growing ever more salient by the minute.
The Qanon conspiracy theory portends that a high-level government insider known as “Q”, (short for “Q Clearance Patriot”), has been covertly telegraphing all the moves of a secret war between The Don and the Deep State over the course of the last 6 years or so.
And while mainstream politics has largely steered clear of endorsing the beliefs of the throngs of Q’s followers, it appears as though former President Trump is embracing them wholesale, even going so far as to employ one of their most powerful parables in a recent social media post.
On Tuesday, using his Truth Social platform, the Republican former president reposted an image of himself wearing a Q lapel pin overlaid with the words “The Storm is Coming.” In QAnon lore, the “storm” refers to Trump’s final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.
As Trump contemplates another run for the presidency and has become increasingly assertive in the Republican primary process during the midterm elections, his actions show that far from distancing himself from the political fringe, he is welcoming it.
During the period closely following the 2020 election, a great many followers of Q were expecting Trump to issue a slightly different “storm” statement, which was to be interpreted as a signal to the masses.
Trump’s social media accounts were purged from the internet before any such statement could occur.
