Trump Honored Secret Service Agent Who Died During Overseas Trip, Mainstream Media Silent

Eleven months, in June of 2018, a Secret Service agent died after suffering a stroke.

At the time, the mainstream media didn’t say much. For example, do you remember learning of this story?

From USA Today:

A Secret Service agent traveling as part of President Donald Trump’s security detail died Tuesday in Scotland after suffering a severe stroke.

The agent, a 19-year veteran of the agency, suffered the stroke on Sunday and was treated in Scotland. The Secret Service said the agent was a “dedicated professional of the highest order” and thanked the medical personnel who gave him “exceptional care and support.”

President Trump honored Special Agent Nole E. Remagen, per Boston Globe:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is honoring a Secret Service agent who died in Scotland while supporting his overseas trip this week.

In a statement, the president noted: “Our hearts are filled with sadness over the loss of a beloved and devoted Special Agent, husband, and father. Our prayers are with Special Agent Remagen’s loved ones, including his wife and two young children. We grieve with them and with his Secret Service colleagues, who have lost a friend and a brother.

POTUS added, “Melania and I are deeply grateful for his lifetime of devotion.

RIP Nole E. Remagen.

Check out CBS’ “The Good Fight” tweeting an easter egg about assassinating President Trump…

CBS crime drama The Good Fight tweeted an image on Friday from a recent episode, entitled, “The One Where Diane Joins the Resistance.” The image showed a character pointing to a list of “target words” that included the phrases “Assassinate President Trump” and “Eliminate Mar-a-Lago.” The tweet, which has since been deleted, sparked backlash among Twitter users, many of whom reported CBS to the Secret Service.

The official CBS Twitter account for The Good Fight asked viewers if they had noticed any “Easter eggs” within the “target words” from the Mach episode.

Here’s what the tweet said:

Threatening the President of the United States is a federal felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President
