Trump Posts Ominous Message to Twitter with Saturday Deadline

The standstill currently underway in our nation’s capital is priority numero uno for the Commander in Chief these days, and his stern tone on twitter proves it.

For nearly 30 days, our federal government has been in a partial shutdown.  The impasse has wreaked havoc on air travel here in the United States, with Miami International Airport being forced to close a terminal on account of security staff shortages.

Many around the nation are crying for an end to the nonsense, but Nancy Pelosi and the democrats have repeatedly blown off the President’s offers to discuss a solution.

Now, with no other choice than to declare a national emergency, President Trump has posted a dire warning on Twitter.

The obvious belief is that the President will declare a national emergency in order to use military resources to secure our border.

Funding for a barrier at the nation’s southern border has been a point on contention between Republicans and Democrats during negotiations about the partial shutdown. Trump has demanded almost $6 billion in funding for a wall or barrier, but Democrats have balked at that request.

With Nancy Pelosi and the President trading bizarre, procedural barbs this week, there is little hope that the democrats would spend any more effort in an attempt to stave off this inevitable conclusion.
