Trump, Ready to Make A Deal, Has Shutdown Compromise Offer for Dems

There is little doubt that the democrats have been remiss in their duties to the American public, specifically in regard to the nation’s longest government shutdown.

We’re closing in on a month of this stalemate, where nearly 800,000 federal workers are being expected to put in the hours at their jobs for no pay.  The TSA has been hit the hardest, perhaps, with their underpaid staff simply quitting or calling in sick in order to find other work.

This security staff shortage has created incredibly long lines in the nation’s airports, has forced Miami International Airport to close an entire terminal, and may have been responsible for allowing a firearm to make it onto a Delta flight.

It seems as though the President is ready to make a deal to end this nonsense, however.

President Trump plans to use remarks from the Diplomatic Reception Room on Saturday afternoon to propose a notable immigration compromise, according to sources familiar with the speech.

Details: The offer is expected to include Trump’s $5.7 billion demand for wall money in exchange for the BRIDGE Act — which would extend protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) — and also legislation to extend the legal status of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, according to a source with direct knowledge.

Now the question will be whether or not the democrats are willing to negotiate with the Commander in Chief.

Earlier in the week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi drew the ire of President Trump by simply refusing to meet with him regarding a shutdown compromise – a move that angered a vast swath of the fed-up and frankly furious American populace.
