Trump Torches Cheney After Loss, Calls to Abolish J6 Committee
Former President Donald Trump is taking one heck of a victory lap in the Cowboy State this week, as yet another of his congressional endorsees notches a major victory over their anti-MAGA rivals.
In Wyoming, it was House Rep. Liz Cheney’s turn to be vicariously victimized by Trump, losing to her America First opponent in a landslide.
This had former President Trump lashing out brutally on Wednesday.
Former President Donald Trump called for dissolving the January 6 Committee in the wake of Rep. Liz Cheney’s (R-WY) primary loss, deeming her defeat a “referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt.”
“I assume that with the very big Liz Cheney loss, far bigger than had ever been anticipated, the January 6th Committee of political Hacks and Thugs will quickly begin the beautiful process of DISSOLUTION?” Trump said in a TruthSocial post on election night.
And then…
“This was a referendum on the never ending Witch Hunt. The people have spoken!” he exclaimed.
Cheney appears to be turning her sights toward 2024 now, intimating that this loss could see her throw her hat in the ring for the Republican nomination.
