Former President Donald Trump has been taking a fair amount of heat from the MAGA Movement over the last couple of days, and for a bit of a surprising reason. Now, an incident at his New York City restaurant may stoke this odd feud even further.
Earlier this week, Trump insisted that he had received a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, drawing boos from a crowd that came to see he and Bill O’Reilly during their speaking engagement tour. Trump, who has long been a proponent of these inoculations, is an outlier on the right wing, with many Republicans, Libertarians, and other conservatives largely unwilling to consider the possibility of receiving such a shot.
Now, in an incident that is likely to see this tension rise, anti-vaccination individuals are being turned away from Trump’s restaurant in New York City.
DONALD Trump’s NYC restaurant turned away a group of anti-vaxxers on Thursday for refusing to show proof of vaccination.
The diners tried entering Trump Grill, located within the former president’s Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, according to video from the scene.
After being denied, the diners were livid.
“We came to Trump Tower because we thought Donald Trump was supposed to be for America, he said he’s against vaccine mandates,” one unmasked protester said.Advertisement - story continues below
“I thought as a man, who’s for America, he would stand up, pay a $1,000 fine, and let us eat freely – you know the man’s a billionaire, he can afford a $1,000 fine.
“It would make him look good. But instead, he’s had his people not serve us and it just exposed him as a fraud,” the anti-vaxxer said. “All talk but no action.”
Trump has long touted his work with Operation Warp Speed in helping to speed along the development of these vaccines, and that has long irked medical freedom advocates on the right wing of American politics.
