Tucker's Tumult Continues as Radio Host Defends "Jokes" on "Comedy Show"

We live in a world where it has become increasingly apparent that humor is no longer subjective…At least not on the left.

Certainly there is no harm in moving forward as a society to decry certain behaviors of our past.   There are the obvious mistakes of our species that we have denounced and atoned for, such as slavery, misogyny, and the various other forms of oppression that deranged and fanatical leaders have utilized in the past to keep a population subordinate.

There was always an escape, at least in free nations, with comedy.

Comedy and comedians are nearly always off limits. The idea of comedy as a whole is to provide entertainment.  As such, the art form splinters into thousands of shards of niche and specific humorous outlets, with their own specific level of cynicism and sarcasm to properly navigate in order to truly get the joke.

Some people just aren’t meant to get certain jokes, or are too droll to understand the subtle nuances of mockery that come with certain parcels of the art form.

The democrats, for example, seem to be unable to fully grasp mocking, sarcastic, and dated jokes written from the perspective of a chauvinist, meant to expose the untoward thinking of these cretins in a blunt and humorous light.  Sure, they’ll say “no, this isn’t funny”, but that’s the beauty and the horror of comedy all rolled into one; if you don’t get it, you are an outsider or a dullard.  That’s precisely why the left hasn’t allowed Tucker Carlson’s scripted faux-sexism from years ago go away.

Now, the comedy personality responsible for bringing Tucker on-air is lashing out at the dullards and prudes who are afraid of appearing as though they don’t get it.

From Bubba Clem himself:

I host a comedy-driven radio show for guys. Until Sunday, no one confused it with something that should be taken seriously. Given my on-air name, “Bubba the Love Sponge,” I assume most people get the joke. We are rude, sometimes profane.

Tucker Carlson called into my satellite radio show regularly from 2006-11, and like all my guests, he adopted an edgy comic persona for the broadcast. He said really naughty things to make my audience laugh, and they did. The 100 or so shows we made with Mr. Carlson weren’t a secret.

“To make my audience laugh, and they did” is the only part of the argument that even matters.

We live in a nation of free speech, and nowhere in this great nation of ours is free speech more well-represented than in comedy.  By allowing the liberal left to weaponize the court of public opinion against this sort of brazen use of the First Amendment is pure political poppycock, and, in many ways un-American.
