Twitter Offers No Explanation in Banning of Marine Veteran Radio Host
We are currently staring down a chasm in our great nation that divides us precisely in two.
That chasm is the left v. right paradigm, characterized for us by the folks behind the desks at CNN, Facebook, and the rest of the mainstream media world. According to them, there are just two sides to the American political coin. The reason being is that this is the simplest way to tell a compelling story.
Remember always that the media needs conflict to survive the way that a campfire needs air to breathe. If you suffocate either, they become far less exciting, and they are lost to more attention-snatching subjects.
So the media makes sure to keep it interesting by splitting us down the middle and feeding us a constant narrative of anger and dissolution.
What’s scarier still is that those who speak out against the media’s advertising-fueled tactics are being silenced by the media platforms themselves.
Iraq War veteran and former Republican congressional candidate Jesse Kelly has been banned from Twitter for unclear reasons, becoming yet another conservative personality to be kicked from the platform.
Kelly’s account on Twitter was disabled on Sunday, drawing anger from many conservative commentators, as the ban was apparently affected with no prior notice.
A guessing game started about what might have prompted Kelly’s suspension, while liberal Twitter welcomed the move, accusing the Marine Corps vet of stoking violence.
Twitter users recognized the eery precedent being set by Twitter.
Jesse Kelly is a funny guy and a combat vet Marine, a man very dedicated to his country, his family, and his bit. What Twitter has done marks a new low for the platform.
