President Trump ripped into Virginia Democrat Governor Ralph Northam after racist photos surfaced from his yearbook showing men in blackface and a KKK hood.

Democrats and Republicans are calling for Northam’s resignation, but he says he’s not leaving his post.

Here’s what 45 had to say on the subject…

Democrat Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia just stated, “I believe that I am not either of the people in that photo.” This was 24 hours after apologizing for appearing in the picture and after making the most horrible statement on “super” late term abortion. Unforgivable!

Ed Gillespie, who ran for Governor of the Great State of Virginia against Ralph Northam, must now be thinking Malpractice and Dereliction of Duty with regard to his Opposition Research Staff. If they find that terrible picture before the election, he wins by 20 points!

From Fox News:

Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam apologized Friday for appearing in a “racist and offensive” photo on his 1984 medical school yearbook page that showed one man dressed in blackface and another in a KKK robe.

Northam – who has been under fire this week for comments made about a third-trimester abortion bill in his state – admitted to being one of the people in the photo, though it’s not clear which costume he is wearing.

Northam: “Earlier today, a website published a photograph of me from my 1984 medical school yearbook in a costume that is clearly racist and offensive.

I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now.

Here’s the photo:

Here’s Northam saying he won’t leave…

“I know they all look alike.”

Those are the six words twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton uttered about black people.

Just imagine, for a second, if a Republican said this.

There would be hysteria; pandemonium; outrage.

Is this not racist?

From The Hill:

Clinton during the back-and-forth also said she believes “what’s often called political correctness is politeness.”

“It’s respecting the diversity that we have in our society,” she continued. “The Democratic Party is a much more diverse political party, attracting people who are African-American, Latino, LGBT … And I don’t think it’s politically correct to say, we value that.”

“I don’t want to go around insulting people, painting people with a broad brush,” she said. “That’s childish.”

Is Clinton gearing up for a third presidential run? All signs point to…potentially.

“We’re going to talk about 2020 in a minute — do you want to run again?” [Recode’s Kara] Swisher asked.

“No. No. Well, I— well, I’d like to be president.”

“Look, I think, hopefully, when we have a Democrat in the Oval Office in January of 2021, there’s going to be so much work to be done.”

Republicans Chastise President Without Mentioning His Name, After He Won’t Commit To Peaceful Transfer Of Power

Published

A handful of individuals in the GOP were not too happy with President Trump for refusing to commit to a peaceful transfer of power should Joe Biden win the November election. Leading the pack were Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Steve Stivers of Ohio. All three of these individuals took to social media to rebuke Trump, though none of them actually mentioned him by name, probably in an attempt to continue putting on an air of solidarity. Here’s more from The Washington Examiner: “Fundamental to democracy is the peaceful transition of power; without that, there is Belarus. Any suggestion that a president might not respect this Constitutional guarantee is both unthinkable and unacceptable,” said Romney, who has long been at odds with the president. https://twitter.com/MittRomney/status/1308932877229477890 “The peaceful transfer of power is enshrined in our Constitution and fundamental to the survival of our Republic. America’s leaders swear an oath to the Constitution. We will uphold that oath,” said Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House. At the White House, the president was asked by a reporter if he would “commit here today for a peaceful transferal of power after the November election” during Wednesday’s press briefing. The president didn’t answer affirmatively. “We’re going to have to see what happens. You know that I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster,” the president said. “Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very peaceful — there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There will be a continuation.” Immediately, leftists all over Twitter have pounced on his comments to try and twist them to make the president look as if he’s wanting to go full dictator here, and get rid of voting altogether so he can stay in power. Anyone with fully…

Suspect In Shooting Of Louisville Police Officers Arrested In Wake Of Violent Protests

Published

on

It was announced yesterday that there would be no formal charges brought against the Louisville police officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor, and as you can probably guess, Black Lives Matter protesters immediately took to the streets and stuff got pretty violent real quick. In fact, two police officers were shot, though thankfully the injuries they sustained were not life threatening. A man has been arrested in connection with the shootings. Here’s more from Fox News: A suspect accused in shooting two Louisville police officers during protests Wednesday evening has also been identified. Larynzo Johnson, 26, has been charged with wanton endangerment and assault of a police officer. He will be arraigned Friday. Johnson “intentionally used a handgun to fire multiple bullets at officers” addressing the crowd, the complaint said. Two officers were struck by bullets causing serious physical injury. Police said witnesses spotted Johnson firing a handgun at officers and running from the scene. The complaint said he was also in possession of a handgun at the time of his arrest and law enforcement recovered video of the shooting showing the suspect fire at officers. Police stated that some businesses were looted early Thursday morning, because hey, nothing says “fighting inequality” like robbing stores owned by people who have absolutely nothing to do with your alleged grievances. It’s never okay to riot, loot, or burn other people’s property to the ground. That doesn’t make you a “freedom fighter” it makes you a criminal, a terrorist. This is what Black Lives Matter doesn’t seem to understand. Or they do understand, but simply don’t care. Let’s hope no further incidents of violence occur and police are actually allowed to do their jobs and quell the madness before someone gets killed.
