We all know the story by now.

First, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was nearly murdered in broad daylight by a deranged radical. Then, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) was violently attacked by his neighbor.

Imagine the media outcry if those two were Democrats.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) basically celebrated the attack by retweeting Tom Arnold’s vile words, which you can see below.

On Monday, just days after Ilhan’s retweet, Paul announced part of a lung had to be removed.

From Daily Wire:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) revealed on Monday that he recently underwent surgery to remove a portion of his lung that was injured after his neighbor assaulted him at his home two years ago.

Unfortunately, I will have to limit my August activities. Part of my lung damaged by the 2017 assault had to be removed by surgery this weekend. The doctors, nurses, & staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center were great. I should be able to return to the Senate in September

Rene Boucher, 59, was arrested in November 2017 after he attacked Paul outside his Bowling Green, Kentucky home. He was reportedly upset after Paul blew some leaves onto his property with his lawnmower. The judge presiding over the case referred to the attack as a “dispute between neighbors” and denied that it was politically motivated.

Wow, it appears @IlhanMN is celebrating/calling for violence against @RandPaul.

I hope every Democrat and Republican in Congress, as well as members of the media have the courage to call this out.

Calls for political violence should never be tolerated, regardless of Party.

Trump Jr. weighed in:

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar retweeting calls for political violence against @randpaul. I’m not surprised, and look forward to the forthcoming silence from the media on the issue.

GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin spoke up, too…

All good w you @SpeakerPelosi? Aren’t you right next to her right now on a CODEL abroad? Do something. Speak! Hold your own Members to the same standards you love to hold others.
