Gun control, gun control, and more gun control.
Liberals dream of a nation where criminals can roam free and law-abiding Americans can’t do anything to defend themselves.
This exchange between a Democrat state senator from Illinois and a constituent needs to be seen by all.
It’s pretty terrifying.
From Daily Wire:
An Illinois state senator told a constituent who was worried that a state bill would threaten his ownership of firearms that perhaps the state should skip fining him and simply confiscate his guns. State Senator Julie A. Morrison, who was a co-sponsor of Senate Bill 107, which was sponsored by five Democratic senators, spoke with the gun owner at a public meeting.
The constituent said, “Senator Morrison, you have a Senate Bill 107 to take away some of my automatic firearms.“
She responded, “To clarify, I’m not really taking your gun away from you; you just can’t buy any new ones.“
The constituent then said, “You want me to turn them over to the state police unless I pay a fine for each firearm and register them, then I get to keep them. So, if I get to keep it — if I pay a fine and register it — then, how dangerous is it in the first place and why do you need to ban it all? Why do you need to try to ban my semi-automatic firearm?“
Then, the liberal state senator dropped the bomb: “Well, you just maybe changed my mind. Maybe we won’t have a fine at all, maybe it’ll just be a confiscation and we won’t have to worry about paying the fine.“
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has a duty to keep citizens of the Lone Star state safe.
And he’s doing everything he can.
And Democrats will hate it.
On June 6, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) signed legislation removing the cap on the number of armed teachers allowed in each of the state’s school districts.
Teachers and other school staff in Texas can be armed under the state’s School Marshal program, but the Texas Tribune reported that limits were set for the program so “schools that participate in the program can only designate one marshal per 200 students or one marshal per building.”
