WATCH: Ocasio-Cortez Speaks At Town Hall, Gets Heckled In Her Own District (Video)

Freshman Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s poll numbers are in the garbage.

In fact, she’s far less popular than President Trump…and even Hillary Clinton.

It’s not hard to see why. AOC constantly finds a way to stick her foot in her mouth.

What’s even more sad is that she routinely doubles down on her mistakes, which only serves to exacerbate the situation.

During a recent town hall in her home disrict, Ocasio-Cortez (NY) was heckled.

From New York Post:

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recalled how her public-school teachers thought she needed “remedial education” because she had grown up speaking Spanish at home.

The freshman lawmaker, speaking Saturday at a packed town hall organized by the Jackson Heights People for Public Schools, said, “As a child I spoke Spanish first. … and I went to a school where no one looked like me. I went to a school where teachers thought I needed remedial education because I spoke two languages instead of one.”

Yikes. She can’t be too thrilled about that.

There are some things you just can’t make up. Most of those things tend to come from the mouth of Ocasio-Cortez.

For example…

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said on Saturday that people should be “excited” about “being automated out of work” and suggested that she supports taxing corporations at 90%.

Ocasio-Cortez made the remarks while speaking at the left-leaning South by Southwest Conference & Festival in Austin, Texas — where she also said America was in a state of “garbage” and suggested that former President Ronald Reagan was a racist.

WATCH:

Ocasio-Cortez said something pretty awful about ICE.

First, she sent the tweet below.

She pretty much implies that “dangerous” ICE is committing rape.

…(BOLD MINE)…

If you’re mad that I think people SHOULD KNOW when Dems vote to expand ICE powers, then be mad.

ICE is a dangerous agency with 0 accountability, widespread reporting of rape, abuse of power, + children dying in DHS custody.

Having a D next to your name doesn’t make that right.

She wasn’t done.

She kept it going…

#MomsDemand & #MarchForOurLives activists, who flew in from across the country, were watching from the gallery, crying + confused.

I ran up to them *during the vote* and explained that the gotcha amendment pinned gun safety against immigration advocacy. Its intent was to divide.

What I DID say was that I had to go back to my district & share the MTR vote to explain why a pro-ICE amendment was slipped into a gun safety law.

Maybe they’re mad bc I don’t believe pro-ICE expansion votes should be cast in the dark, and people deserve to know what happened.

“At [DHS immigrant detention] facility, children recounted being held down for forcible injections, which medical records show are powerful antipsychotics and sedatives.”

Again, didn’t threaten a primary.

I was upset that 26 Dems forced the other 200+ to vote for a pro-ICE provision at the last min without warning.

Because I think an agency that pins children down + forcibly injects them w/ antipsychotic drugs shouldn’t be given more power.
