This is who Dems wanted as Speaker, huh? OOOOOkay then…

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) doesn’t speak so goodly.

Maybe English isn’t her first language?

We um…As you are aware, uh, we have— we are diligent, diligent and persistent…

We you want to detect drugs, as we all do, then there is, uh, uh, uh— technology that can scan…

…Beef up the ports of entry to do that, but there’s no reason, the wall in my view is an immorality.

Here’s more of Pelosi stuttering from, well, not that long ago…

Pelosi: “And they’re here now, in what is one of the most tranformative, new members of— body of members of Congress.

Pelosi: “We will— we will win 40, uh, we will win 4— we will have, take, win 40 seats.

Pelosi: “The Special Counsel cannot be fired without cause. He, he or she would be granted a three-judge appeal panel if fired, uh, could only be removed by a Senate-confirmed AG— replaced by a Se— uh, Senate-confirmed Attorney General.”

WATCH:

According to Pelosi, all Republicans are “despicable.”

WATCH:

Pelosi was busted on a hot mic getting confused during her first speech to Congress.

Remember, January 3 was only day one of what promises to be a wild two years.

Democrats are now in charge of the House of Representatives, and Pelosi has once again been voted Speaker.

She begins her speech: “As we take the oath of office today, we accept responsibility as daunting and demanding as any that previous generations of leadership have faced.

Then, caught on a hot mic: “I think I skipped a couple pages. I’m not sure.

Here’s the beginning of Nancy’s speech, but you can check out the full transcript at this link.

Thank you, Leader McCarthy. I look forward to working with you in a bipartisan way for the good of our country, respecting the constituents who sent each of us here.

Every two years, we gather in this chamber for a sacred ritual. Under the dome of this temple of our democracy, the Capitol of the United States, we renew our great American experiment.

I am particularly proud to be the woman Speaker of the House of this Congress, which marks 100 years of women winning the right to vote, as we serve with more than 100 women in the House of Representatives – the highest number in history.

Each of us comes to this chamber strengthened by the trust of our constituents and the love of our families. We welcome all your families who are with us today.

Let me thank my family: my husband Paul; our five children Nancy Corinne, Christine, Jacqueline, Paul, and Alexandra; our grandchildren, and my D’Alesandro family from Baltimore.

Did you know America has three coasts?

Pelosi (CA) has apparently just clued the rest of us in on a monumental secret.

The next Speaker of the House struggled with U.S. geography on Thursday as she once again announced her opposition to a wall along the border with Mexico.

We, most of us, speaking for myself, consider the wall immoral, ineffective and expensive, and the President said – he promised – he also promised Mexico would pay for it.

So even if they did, it’s immoral still, and then they’re not going to pay for it. So that isn’t how I would interpret a congressional – a continuing resolution.

[…]

We have a responsibility, all of us, to secure our borders, North, South, and coming in by plane on our coasts, three coasts–North, South and West–and that’s the responsibility we honor. But we do so by honoring our values as well.

What don’t Americans want?

Amnesty for illegal aliens.

Does Pelosi care what Americans want?

Nope.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised over the weekend to pass the Dream Act in the new Congress, which would provide amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.

Pelosi: “America draws strength from our long, proud heritage as a nation of immigrants. In the Majority, Democrats will work to reverse the Republicans’ destructive anti-immigrant agenda. Our House Democratic Majority will once again pass the Dream Act to end the uncertainty and fear inflicted on patriotic young men and women across the country.

Republicans today will agree with then-Senator Harry Reid (D-NV).

He says “no sane country” would give birthright citizenship to illegal immigrants.

Reid declared on the Senate floor: “If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn’t enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal immigrant? No sane country would do that, right? Guess again.

If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. citizenship and guarantee a full access to all public and social services that this society provides, and that’s a lot of services.

In 2015, Hillary Clinton boasted about voting to build “barriers” on the southern border to keep out illegal aliens while she was a senator.

In 2009, Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said illegal immigration is “wrong.”

However, President Donald Trump chose to tweet out a 2005 clip of former President Barack Obama basically saying illegals were not welcome in America, noting that illegals “disrespect the rule of law.”

Obama: “Those who come here illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.”

Trump agrees with Obama.

On Hillary’s stance from 2015, per Weekly Standard:

“Well look,” Clinton said, “I voted numerous times when I was a senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in. And I do think you have to control your borders.”

Popularity of Avocados Leads to Staggering Increase in Emergency Room Visits

Guacamole is delicious, but not when you’re eating it in the hospital.

The news is often filled with stories about household items that are potentially dangerous, but this latest warning from emergency rooms across the nation is downright bizarre. In America, it isn’t all that uncommon to hear local news broadcasts touting their late night programming with phrases such as “something in your house could be a potential hazard, found out what tonight at 11pm”.  Of course, much of this hyperbolic sensationalism is meant simply to goad you into tuning in, only to find out that your local broadcasters were really reaching for your attention. Today’s unlikely danger comes to us from the world of healthy eating, oddly enough, as the popularity of avocados has led to an increase in emergency room visits. A Florida woman who sliced through a nerve and severed an artery in her hand while trying to cut an avocado said she still has numbness in her ring finger nearly one year after the accident. Melissa Norgart, a personal trainer and mother of two, said she was using a new 10-centimeter paring knife to get the pit out of an avocado when the tool slipped and ripped through her left hand. “It went halfway through my palm,” Norgart, 46, told SWNS. “It made a sound like when the killer stabs someone in a horror movie.” And this certainly isn’t an isolated incident. Despite the severity of Norgart’s injury, due to avocados’ recent rise in popularity, it’s not necessarily a rarity. In fact, it’s become so common that some doctors and the media have dubbed it “avocado hand.” One doctor at Westminster Hospital told The Times of London that he was stitching up victims of “avocado hand” up to four times per week. The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons has called for warning labels to be placed on the skin…

Lara Trump Emerges as Leading Figure in Fight to End Puppy Mills

The kindness of dogs is something that we cannot take for granted, especially in the shallow pursuit of cash.

dogs puppy mill

It has often been said that human beings don’t deserve dogs. The loving and symbiotic relationship between man and man’s best friend is one of the great legacies of our civilization.  Many of us spend our every waking moment in the presence of these animals, who, through 10,000 years of domestication and selective breeding have become perhaps the planet’s first true companion animal. And, as the world devolves into chaos and violence, dogs provide us with an example of kindness that eclipses that of any other species…including homo sapiens. But there is a dark secret within the world of dogs, where animals are bred solely for profit in incorrigible conditions and with little care for their health. https://youtu.be/hRhKE5Divbw Now, an unexpected hero is coming to the rescue as Lara Trump ratchets up her fight to end the cruelty of these unnecessary and inhumane establishments. Animal welfare advocate Lara Trump is heading up a new campaign for the first government-wide crackdown on conditions at shoddy puppy mills where dogs sometimes go without water, medical care, or space to walk around. The president’s daughter-in-law, who just recently announced that she and husband Eric are expecting a second child, is urging the public to speak up for newly proposed Agriculture Department rules requiring more humane treatment by licensed breeders. “I think the American people would be shocked to know that these things don’t currently exist,” she told Secrets. Lara Trump has been stern in her advocacy. Trump urged the public to back the USDA proposed rule. “I hope that thousands of fellow citizens will write to the USDA in support of this rule. Public comments will be accepted through May 21. Please urge the USDA to expand the rule by taking this opportunity to greatly improve dogs’ living conditions as well as their health…
