It has been rumored for a while.

On Wednesday, Democrats made it a reality.

Donald Trump Jr. has been subpoenaed for an issue relating to Russia.

Democrat Senator Dick Blumenthal (CT) now says Trump Jr. should be jailed if he refuses to comply.

Dick said, “If he fails to answer he ought to be put in jail. If he fails to comply with a lawful subpoena – he has no privilege – prison is the only answer.

WATCH:

Subpoena for Donald Trump Jr. is the right step, as I’ve urged, to explain his apparent lies in his Judiciary Committee appearance. He told us he was only “peripherally aware” of Moscow Trump Tower talks, when actually he was in the thick of it. His demeanor gave him away.

The Hill reports that Jr. is unlikely to comply:

President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is reportedly unlikely to comply with a subpoena from the Senate Intelligence Committee for his testimony about his communication with Russian officials.

Reuters, citing two congressional sources, reported Thursday afternoon that Trump Jr. would likely refuse to comply with the subpoena by invoking his Fifth Amendment rights to avoid self-incrimination.

If Trump Jr. is seriously considering a run for office someday, New York might not be the best place for him.

In fact, it might actually be the worst.

That being said, Trump Jr., who is dating former Fox News personality Kim Guilfoyle, says he is not ruling out politics in his future.

Anyone see that coming?

Appearing Wednesday evening on Bloomberg Radio, Donald Trump Jr. said he isn’t ruling out following in his father’s footsteps with a future run for office.

Trump Jr. noted, “If I can be helpful and I can be a powerful voice for that… that’s my primary focus. As for the future, I never want to rule it out. I definitely enjoy the fight. I definitely like being out there and I love being able to see the impact and the difference that it makes on these people’s lives that I get to see all over the country.

Trump Jr. has emerged as a fan favorite among the president’s base, assuming the role as the administrations’ unofficial spokesperson, while vigorously defending his father against daily attacks from the establishment media. During the 2018 midterm election, he proved to be a fundraising juggernaut for Republican candidates, helping Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) alone rake in nearly $500,000, according to Politico.

Back in October 2018, CNN’s Jim Acosta took to Twitter to bash President Trump’s rhetoric as the reason why multiple Democrats were targeted by “mail bomber” Caesar Sayoc.

Acosta isn’t the only one blaming Trump, but it would seem as if the left looks the other way when Republicans are the targets of such attacks.

Enter Acosta:

Jim’s tweet didn’t sit well with Trump Jr., who was a victim of a deranged radical earlier in the year:

Here’s what Trump Jr. is talking about, per Daily Wire:

Trump Jr. was referring to February 2018, when he and his family were allegedly targeted by someone who sent to their home an envelope containing white powder. Trump Jr.’s wife, Vanessa Trump, opened the envelope at the couple’s Manhattan apartment, then was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to New York City police; two other people exposed to the powder were taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. A hazmat crew arrived and began decontamination procedures shortly after the incident; the powder was later found to be non-hazardous.

Following the incident, Donald Jr. fired off this tweet:

“The Socialist Party” didn’t seem to care that Jr. and his family were targeted:

BLM Activists Suggests Waukesha Parade Massacre is Beginning of a ‘Revolution’

The left just cannot help themselves when it comes to promoting violence.

As with any tragedy that occurs here in the United States, there are political and cultural organizations and individuals looking to spin the Waukesha Christmas parade massacre into something that selfishly behooves their cause, and these suggestions are growing more offensive by the day.

The latest allegation comes from a self-proclaimed “militant” with the Black Lives Matter movement, who believes that the event may be the start of something much larger.

A Milwaukee Black Lives Matter activist said the Christmas parade attack in Waukesha, Wisconsin, appears to signal “the revolution” may have begun.

“I don’t know. Now we’ll have to wait and see because they do have somebody in custody. We may have to wait and see what they say about why this happened,” Vaun Mayes said on Facebook Live on Monday. “But it sounds possible that the revolution has started in Wisconsin. It started with this Christmas parade.”

Mayes is a well-known activist in Milwaukee. He describes himself as a “Battle rapper, Community activist, Songwriter, Tattoo artist, Militant,” in his Twitter bio, which is accompanied by various hashtags, including “#BlackLivesMatter,” “#BlackLoveMatters” and “#RBG.”

Mayes would go on to parrot a largely-condemned suggestion that the attack was meant as revenge for the verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse murder trial.

“I said I wasn’t going to speak on no rumors. Y’all are repeating some of the stuff that, you know, that has come up. And I can tell you that the initial person who reached out to me said that they believe that this has to do with the verdict, and so I made an assumption of which side it would be from, but I don’t know,” he added in the video, referring to the not-guilty verdict of Kyle Rittenhouse. The video was filmed at the scene of the parade attack.

These comments speak to a larger issue here in the US, in which many on the left side of the aisle are continuing to turn toward violent rhetoric, and away from the principles of liberty and justice for all.

Ukraine Accuses Russians of Plotting Coup for Next Week

The highly specific threat was made public just hours ago.

For years now, Russia has been bullying the world.  From weapons tests to forced annexations to being the likely cause of “Havana Syndrome”, there is little doubt that Vladimir Putin and his Kremlin cronies are playing the role of the global villain without even the slightest amount of regret.

And, after spending years attempting to force Ukraine back into Russian control, the small nation’s President is now suggesting that some miscreants from Moscow are planning to stage a coup in his country.

Russia has denied any involvement after Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday that an attempted coup d’etat is being planned in his country to take place next week.

Zelenskyy told reporters that Ukraine had uncovered a plot for an attempted coup and that Ukrainians and Russians were involved, The Washington Post reported. While he also spoke of a threat of military escalation from Russia, he fell short of accusing the Kremlin of an involvement in the planned coup, according to Reuters.

The Ukrainian President was not subtle in his statement, either.

“We have challenges not only from the Russian Federation and possible escalation – we have big internal challenges. I received information that a coup d’etat will take place in our country on Dec. 1-2,” Zelenskyy said, adding that his country was prepared for any escalation, Reuters reported.

While Putin and the Russians continue to deny their involvement, his reputation for mischief makes it all that much harder to take his rebukes seriously.
