In Britain, President Donald Trump read aloud the prayer President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued during the D-Day campaign in 1944. It is a prayer that really proves just how far the Democrat Party has fallen from true Americanism because no Democrat would ever utter such words today.

Trump was taking part in the D-Day commemoration in Portsmouth, U.K., on Tuesday and took time to read aloud the D-Day prayer that America’s WWII-time president issued to petition God to watch over our troops as they invaded the European mainland to defeat the Nazis.

But the text of the prayer is stark when compared to how the Democrat Party acts today.

Remember, this prayer was written for and read by F.D.R., one of the Democrat Party’s biggest heroes.

Here is now F.D.R. started his prayer: “Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity.”

In its very first line the prayer proves to be as far away from today’s Democrat ethos as you can imagine. It seeks God’s blessing on the pride of our nation, our soldiers. No Democrat would appeal to God for anything today, much less victory at war. And, worse, they would never consider our soldiers to be the “pride of our nation.”

Nor would any Democrat today — from the top leadership to the very last Democrat voter — ever pray to preserve our Republic, our religion, or our civilization.

After all, “our civilization” is no better than anyone else’s, they now say. And who cares about evil religion? And our “Republic”? They seek to tear that to shreds every single day. They don’t want that old white men’s regime preserved.

At another point in the prayer, F.D.R. pleads with “Almighty God” and promises to “rededicate ourselves in renewed faith in Thee in this hour of great sacrifice.” That is another thing in which Democrats no longer believe.

In closing, F.D.R. asked God to help the U.S. “prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy.” Once again… “enemy”? No Democrat sees any foreign force — not even ISIS — as an “evil enemy.” Only the U.S.A. is evil in the estimation of today’s Democrat Party.

F.D.R.’s entire prayer runs 100 percent contrary to the Democrat Party’s main ideals today. It shows just how full of hate and how un-American the Democrats have become.

Here is the full text of F.D.R.’s June 6, 1944, prayer:

Almighty God: Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization, and to set free a suffering humanity.

Lead them straight and true; give strength to their arms, stoutness to their hearts, steadfastness in their faith.

They will need Thy blessings. Their road will be long and hard. For the enemy is strong. He may hurl back our forces. Success may not come with rushing speed, but we shall return again and again; and we know that by Thy grace, and by the righteousness of our cause, our sons will triumph.

They will be sore tried, by night and by day, without rest-until the victory is won. The darkness will be rent by noise and flame. Men’s souls will be shaken with the violences of war.

For these men are lately drawn from the ways of peace. They fight not for the lust of conquest. They fight to end conquest. They fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise, and tolerance and good will among all Thy people. They yearn but for the end of battle, for their return to the haven of home.

Some will never return. Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants, into Thy kingdom.

And for us at home — fathers, mothers, children, wives, sisters, and brothers of brave men overseas — whose thoughts and prayers are ever with them–help us, Almighty God, to rededicate ourselves in renewed faith in Thee in this hour of great sacrifice.

Many people have urged that I call the Nation into a single day of special prayer. But because the road is long and the desire is great, I ask that our people devote themselves in a continuance of prayer. As we rise to each new day, and again when each day is spent, let words of prayer be on our lips, invoking Thy help to our efforts.

Give us strength, too — strength in our daily tasks, to redouble the contributions we make in the physical and the material support of our armed forces.

And let our hearts be stout, to wait out the long travail, to bear sorrows that may come, to impart our courage unto our sons wheresoever they may be.

And, O Lord, give us Faith. Give us Faith in Thee; Faith in our sons; Faith in each other; Faith in our united crusade. Let not the keenness of our spirit ever be dulled. Let not the impacts of temporary events, of temporal matters of but fleeting moment let not these deter us in our unconquerable purpose.

With Thy blessing, we shall prevail over the unholy forces of our enemy. Help us to conquer the apostles of greed and racial arrogancies. Lead us to the saving of our country, and with our sister Nations into a world unity that will spell a sure peace a peace invulnerable to the schemings of unworthy men. And a peace that will let all of men live in freedom, reaping the just rewards of their honest toil.

Thy will be done, Almighty God.

Amen.

Joe Biden put out his first presidential proclamation for the National Day of Prayer, but it seems he forgot to mention anything about God, or religion… well, except for the left’s religions of climate change and racial justice. Biden issued his proclamation on Thursday to supposedly address the power of prayer. But instead of an ode to God, Christianity or even religion in general, Biden paid homage to the left’s fake religions and ignored real religions. “Throughout our history, Americans of many religions and belief systems have turned to prayer for strength, hope, and guidance,” Biden’s proclamation began. “Prayer has nourished countless souls and powered moral movements — including essential fights against racial injustice, child labor, and infringement on the rights of disabled Americans. Prayer is also a daily practice for many, whether it is to ask for help or strength, or to give thanks over blessings bestowed.” Biden added that the First Amendment protects “the rights of free speech and religious liberty,” which protects the right of all Americans to pray. “These freedoms have helped us to create and sustain a Nation of remarkable religious vitality and diversity across the generations,” the proclamation continued. Celebrating the “healing balm of prayer,” Biden added, “As we continue to confront the crises and challenges of our time — from a deadly pandemic, to the loss of lives and livelihoods in its wake, to a reckoning on racial justice, to the existential threat of climate change — Americans of faith can call upon the power of prayer to provide hope and uplift us for the work ahead.” Biden did not mention the words God, Jesus, or any specific religious concepts other than the general point of “prayer.” This is in stark contrast to every president before him. Economists had predicted almost a million new jobs for this past period, but on Friday Biden’s latest report came in at only 266,000 new jobs. This is a huge gap, and the worst miss of jobs predictions in history.
