WH Says to Endure Gas Prices for Sake of 'Liberal World Order'
If there was ever any doubt about a disconnect between politically-engaged citizens and the politicians who rule over them, this week may have erased it all…and blatantly.
That’s because a member of the White House’s economic council just made the sort of statement that will have alarm bells ringing throughout the citizenry, harking back to one of the most potent conspiracy theories of all time while also advocating for a leftist lurch at the highest stages of society.
Thursday, during an appearance on CNN’s “Newsroom,” National Economic Council Director Brian Deese defended President Joe Biden’s remarks earlier in the day, claiming Americans may have to deal with higher prices as the world grapples with an aggressive Russian President Vladimir Putin setting his sights on Ukraine.
Here’s where it gets wild:
“What you heard from the president today was about the stakes,” he said. “This is about the future of the liberal world order, and we have to stand firm. But at the same time, what I’d say to that family, to Americans across the country is, you have a present administration that is going to do everything in its power to blunt those price increases and bring those prices down. Good news, over the last two weeks, we’ve seen the price at the pump come down about 20 cents, but it is still unacceptably high.”
The “liberal world order” takes all of the imposing, looming concerns over the supposed “new world order”, and sends it hurtling to the left.
What’s truly shocking, however, is that Deese somehow believed that these were appropriate words to utter in public. There is no scenario in which he, or any other employee on Pennsylvania Avenue, should be oblivious enough to use such charged language except for purposefully.
Either Biden is hiring dolts, or the left has simply given up on hiding their true intentions.
