With Press Pass Judicially Protected, Jim Acosta’s Antics Ensue Again

As the old adage goes; it’s not what you say, it is how you say it.

Jim Acosta

As the old adage goes; it’s not what you say, it is how you say it.

This important and foundational life lesson was either never passed down from Momma Acosta to little James, or the intrepid young attention-monger allowed the unwritten rule to glance by him purposefully.  The young man instead began studying the philosophy of the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, believing that the spotlight was the key to journalism.

Perhaps Acosta is simply a student of the students of Hunter S. Thompson; not “gonzo” journalists in the way that he was, but, rather, the once-removed aura of his shadow.  Acosta certainly loves to insert himself into his form of journalism, but as the antagonist.  Thompson, on the other hand, was a casually inebriated observer who preferred to watch and listen instead of poke and prod.

Acosta isn’t reporting the news, he’s creating it, and even the most novice journalism professor at the smallest community college would sneer at the tactic.

So, is it any surprise whatsoever that Acosta, whose press pass is judicially protected for the coming month, would began his shenanigans again so soon?

CNN’s Jim Acosta made his return to the James S. Brady room on Tuesday for a press briefing with Sarah Sanders — 20 days after the reporter was temporarily banned from the White House.

Sanders, who until Tuesday hadn’t held a briefing in weeks, took questions after sessions with National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow and National Security Adviser John Bolton – during which Acosta kept quiet. The press secretary eventually called on Acosta, who asked if President Trump would recommend that Paul Manafort should cooperate with authorities going forward.

The questioning grew tenser — though not nearly as explosive as the post-election incident that resulted in his pass being pulled — as Acosta then asked why Trump doesn’t have faith in his advisers, citing the president’s apparent skepticism toward a major government climate change study and the CIA’s findings regarding Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s role in activist Jamal Khashoggi’s killing.

Madame Press Secretary wasn’t having it.

Sanders shot back, “That’s not accurate,” as the CNN reporter listed a series of examples. He continued to ask the question but was met with pushback from Sanders.

“That’s not true. The president has a great deal of faith in the intelligence community and, certainly, in the team he has assembled around him,” she said before Acosta disagreed, citing intelligence related to the murder of Khashoggi as something Trump doesn’t necessarily agree with.

“We haven’t seen definitive evidence come from our intelligence community that ties [the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia] directly to that,” Sanders said before moving on.

There are no strong indications as to what could happen with Acosta’s press pass at the end of this federally mandated protection.

WATCH: Omar Openly Mocks Conservative Christians From Floor of House of Representatives

Different day, same radical.

Different day, same Ilhan Omar. The Minnesota Democrat can’t seem to stop putting her foot in her mouth, seemingly in an attempt to keep up with fellow freshman lawmakers Rashida Tlaib (MI) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY). Check out her speech from the House floor where she attacks conservative Christians for being pro-life… From Daily Wire: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) attacked conservative people on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday over their advocacy for pro-life stances on abortion. Ilhan said, “I rise today to defy the horrifying attacks happening against women’s reproductive rights all across this country. Religious fundamentalists are currently trying to manipulate state laws in order to impose their beliefs on an entire society, all with complete disregard for voices and the rights of American women.” She added, “I am frustrated every single time I hear people speaking about their faith and pushing that on to other people because we know those so-called religious politicians, when it comes to their life, their choices, they want to talk about freedom. But when it comes to other people’s lives and other people’s choices, they want to talk about religion. This should outrage every single person. It certainly outrages me and we can no longer stand for it.” WATCH: https://twitter.com/RealSaavedra/status/1131354195175460864?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1131354195175460864&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2F47573%2Fwatch-ilhan-omar-attacks-conservative-people-faith-ryan-saavedra Congressional Dems are taking a stand against Ilhan. From From Beacon: The reelection campaign for Rep. Lucy McBath (D., Ga.) said Wednesday it rejected a $2,000 contribution sent to it by her fellow Democratic freshman congresswoman Ilhan Omar (Minn.), who has been criticized by colleagues on both sides of the aisle for anti-Semitism. The Free Beacon first reported the $2,000 contribution given by Omar to McBath, whose campaign oddly left the contribution off its quarterly fundraising report. Pressed on the reason for its absence on Tuesday, the McBath campaign…
