Woman Tells Whopper About Being Kidnapped. The Reason Why is Super Strange.
A woman spoke with Fresno, California police over the weekend where she told them she was kidnapped by two African-American men who she claims forced their way into her vehicle at gun point. The men then told her to drive west.
Once she was in West Fresno, she then says she believes she was pistol whipped because she blacked out and didn’t wake up until hours later in the backseat of the car, bound, gagged, and bruised. She then said the two men stole $9,000 she had on her, which was money to pay two drivers who worked for her trucking company.
After getting lose she said she ran to a nearby home for help, went to the hospital, and then claimed she was sexually assaulted.
Here’s the kicker.
None of that was true.
Maria Gonzalez, 32, made up the claim to avoid paying the $9,000 to her subcontractors. She confessed after police questioned her for two hours about statements she made that contradicted potential video evidence.
“The truth is Maria Gonzalez made up this entire story for the purpose of letting someone know that $9,000 had been stolen from her — $9,000 she was supposed to pay to subcontractors,” said Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer on Monday. “The reality is she didn’t have the $9,000 to pay the subcontractors, and that’s why she made up the entire story.”

After making up this entire elaborate story, it turns out this young lady is just another common crook looking to screw some folks out of their hard earned pay.
Now, one has to wonder if Gonzalez would’ve thought to concoct such a story if not for the current #MeToo climate which started out as a movement to end sexual assault and harassment in Hollywood and quickly turned into a modern day witch hunt.
It’s become a more common thing for women to use this sort of tactic against men they feel a grudge toward, because they know they’ll be instantly believed without much of an investigation. We need to remedy this.
Men who are rapists and abusers deserve the harshest punishment we can toss at them, and since that’s what we ought to do, we better be darn sure the folks facing those kind of charges actually committed those crimes.
