You'll Never Guess Which Government Agency is Holding 5 MILLION Rounds of Ammo

When it comes to government, the only sure thing is that more is never better.

We are the land of the free after all, and constant piling on of regulations and reforms has been infringing on our way of life for darn near 250 years.  Remember, the whole reason we got out of that mess with Britain was the unkempt of unstoppable encroachment of the government into our lives.

It is with this outlook that we must keep an eye on the size of scope of our federal agencies, and not be afraid to question just what it is that they are doing with our hard-earned tax dollars.

That being said; why on Earth does the IRS need 5,000,000 rounds of ammunition?

The Internal Revenue Service had in its weapons inventory 4,487 guns and 5,062,006 rounds of ammunition as of late 2017, according to a report published this month by the Government Accountability Office.

Included in this arsenal, according to the GAO, were 15 “fully automatic firearms” and 56,000 rounds of ammunition for those fully automatic firearms.

The same report–“Federal Law Enforcement: Purchases and Inventory Controls of Firearms, Ammuntion, and Tactical Equipment“–says that the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services had 194 fully automatic firearms and 386,952 rounds of ammunition for those fully automatic firearms.

“The term ‘fully automatic’ used in this report,” says a footnote in the report, “encompasses a range of firearms classified as machine guns, including submachine guns, three round burst guns, and guns with a selector switch that can enable continuous fire.”

What’s most alarming is that these two benign government agencies have weapons deemed too powerful for the average citizen at their disposal, making a clear case for the infringement of the Second Amendment.

After all, if we can’t defend ourselves from the IRS, how free are we, really?
