Zelensky Drops Truth Bomb on Putin with Stunning Bravado

As the Russian invasion of Ukraine peers over the edge its second week and onto the third, there are some serious concerns developing about exactly what the point of the whole thing could be.

Vladimir Putin thought he’d have this all over with in 72 hours, and has been battling not only the Ukrainian military, but mass desertions and astounding ineptitude from his own once-fearsome forces.

And we mustn’t forget about the bravery of the Ukrainian people themselves, who’ve essentially been flipping the bird to the Kremlin this whole time…and loudly.

That sentiment comes right from the top of the Ukrainian food chain, with President Volodymyr Zelensky putting Putin in his place this week.

Speaking at a news conference, Zelensky said the Russians could take the Ukrainian capital “only if they kill us all.”

“If that is their goal, let them come,” he said. “If they carry out carpet bombings and wipe off the historic memory of the entire region, the history of Kyivan Rus, the history of Europe, they could enter Kyiv, but they will have to live on that land alone, certainly without us.

“Even if they bring a million Russians here, they can’t occupy Ukraine,” he added.

As the Kremlin continues to jail protesters, (and with Russian military casualties mounting), there might not be a million Russian who are left willing to occupy Kyiv even if Putin gets his wish.
